On the shores of Girona’s Mediterranean Sea, in the heart of the Costa Brava, we find the municipality of Sant Feliu de Guíxols, a city in constant evolution and capable of adapting to what new times expect of it. A city concerned with preserving the wellbeing of its inhabitants and its natural spaces (mountains and sea), it needed to evolve to adapt to current needs without giving up its humble and rural roots.
At Crece Agency, in collaboration with Dosis Studio, we developed a concept that reflected the essence of Guíxols in the purest way. Based on the idea of the characteristic phoneme /ʃ/ of the letters -ix- of the city’s name, we developed a set of campaigns for the Sant Feliu City Council that are based on this same concept: Gaudeix Guíxols, Descobreix Guíxols i Guíxols Redueix.
Based on this last concept, and with the aim of anticipating the EU law that will prohibit the sale of single-use plastic articles from 2021, we launched a campaign to encourage the population to reduce the consumption of plastic and, in turn, to promote local shopping in the city’s market. For this campaign we carried out two promotions: the gift of a cloth bag to promote its use and avoid plastic bags, and a contest to promote the use of kitchenware, through which you can win 150 euros to spend in the Mercat Cobert in Sant Feliu de Guíxols.
Other graphic applications that were developed during the campaign and together with Dosis Studio are: publications on social media, advertising banners for street lamps, posters, leaflets and a landing page with all the information of interest to citizens.
