For some years, the football teams in First Division FC Barcelona and Athletic Club de Bilbao released their own Toons, a brand of cartoons of the team with which contents and merchandising were created, focused on a child target. Currently, these brands don’t exist anymore, but in Crece we actively participated in the graphic design of both during their fame.
In the case of Barça Toons, we carried out a redesign of the brand corporate identity, updating its visual identity and adequating it to the different applications that had to be carried out. On the other hand, we also designed several merchandising articles in the same style line, like commemorative T-shirts of the brand and the team.
For Athletic Toons, we made a redesign of their visual identity, and we also elaborated a style manual with all the variations and specifications of the graphic identity of the brand, to ease and standardise their applications. Besides, we also created several merchandising articles for the team and the Athletic Toons, like slippers and board games for children, following the young and current aesthetics that Athletic Toons had at that moment.
For us it was a pleasure to collaborate with these two great teams, with the added value that both Barça Toons and Athletic Toons are fresh brands which are really well graphically worked, focused on promote positive values regarding the relationship between kids and sport.
